Fifteen Hertz Branding
Creative Director + Branding + Web + Motion
When we were developing the Icon for 15HZ, we wanted to create a versatile logo that would expand, grow, and morph within any given situation. Print, interactive, and motion: the wavelength concept had potential to thrive in any given situation. The wavelength formed a “H” shape because the letterform felt more balanced. There are also 15 lines that make up the logo which represents each of the original members of 15Hz.
Jay decided to come up with a typeface that would fit the narrow line width of the logo. Futura, tall in x height, and ITC Avant Garde fit perfectly with the logo .

Wavelengths and linear movement were the sources of inspiration for the team.
Bringing the logo to life through motion was an important milestone to achieve. For this logo to act as a wavelength, it must be able to move and react to sound.
